Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Online Store, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. If the "Add to Cart" button does not appear the item may be out of stock - please contact us and we will advise on availability.

We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards. These are processed online using the Protx secure payment service. Prices are shown in Great British Pounds Sterling. Cards are processed immediately using the Protx secure system.

Alternatively, you may send your Credit/Debit card information via phone, fax, or snail mail. Sorry, we are unable to accept payment by Cheque. Backordered items are not charged until they are dispatched. We will try to dispatch your order to you within 3 working days of receipt of order, but if for any reason we cannot dispatch goods within 7 working days, we will inform you by e-mail. Should this be un-acceptable, the order can be cancelled. A full refund will be made on any payment sent / received.


ORDER BY FAX OR TELEPHONE
Make a note of the product code, colour and description, and either telephone (01902 786788) or fax (01902 786018) your order through to us, complete with your Credit/Debit Card details, contact name and address and full delivery instructions. (For further information see "Reaching Us" below). Please note that orders placed ONLINE take priority over telephone orders.
Shipping And Handling
DELIVERIES WITHIN UK MAINLAND (excluding Islands and Scottish Highlands)
All Deliveries are free.
Orders under £20 will be dispatched via Royal Mail's normal postal service.
Orders £20 and above will be dispatched via Royal Mail's Recorded Delivery Service (this is not a guaranteed Next Day service). For an additional £4 we can dispatch via Royal Mail Special Delivery - which is a Next Working Day service - please request this service under Special Delivery instructions "Add £4 Special Delivery". Please also see DELIVERY SCHEDULE section - below
Orders that are too large to dispatch via Royal Mail will be dispatched via Courier, Next Working Day Delivery (for Monday to Friday delivery excluding Bank Holidays).
Please note - a signature is required for all orders valued £20 and over. Please advise if this is a problem.

ISLANDS, SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS (IV, KW, PA, PH rest of AB postcodes), SCOTTISH LOWLANDS (G, DG, TD, MI, KA, FK, KY, EH, DD, PA1-19, PH1-17, AB1, AB2 postcodes) and NORTHERN IRELAND
Where possible orders will be dispatched via Royal Mail and delivery is Free.
Packages over 1.5 kg (eg Luggage) will be sent via Courier Service and a small delivery charge will apply. We will email you to confirm stock availability and advise you of any additional charge.

OVERSEAS ORDERS including Republic of Ireland
We accept orders from customers outside the UK but the minimum order value is £25. If you are outside the UK you will be unable to order online.
Delivery charges apply. Please email us at overseas@hudsonsleathershop.co.uk with your requirements and we will quote accordingly, advising you of the shipping charge.
Overseas customers are responsible for any relevant import duties and local taxes (if applied by the relevant Authorities).

Once goods have left our premises, delivery becomes the responsibility of the Carrier or Postal service used. We cannot be held responsible for late, delayed or non-delivery of goods and will do all that we can to deal promptly and efficiently with any delivery problems customers report to us so that items ordered are delivered as quickly as possible.
Delivery Schedule
We endeavour to dispatch all orders within 3 working days of receipt. If for any reason we cannot dispatch goods within 7 working days, we will inform you by e-mail. Should this be un-acceptable, the order can be cancelled. A full refund will be made on any payment sent / received.

Generally, the following applies:

Orders placed before 1.00 pm Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday - these are picked and dispatched (where stock allows) the same day.

Orders placed after 1.00 pm will not go out until the following day. However, if an item is required urgently and SPECIAL / NEXT WORKING DAY DELIVERY is required, please specify delivery date required when placing your order and/or contact us with an additional email/telephone call. Where-ever possible, we will try to meet your requirements.

Orders placed after 1.00 pm Friday and over the weekend will be dispatched on the following Monday/Tuesday (depending on the volume of orders).

Orders placed over a Bank Holiday or Bank Holiday weekend, will generally be dispatched where-ever possible, the next working day.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, it will be placed on back order. You will always be e-mailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. On cancellation, a full refund will be made on any payment sent / received.
Tax Charges
All items shown are inclusive of 17.5% VAT.
Credit Card Security
We now use Protx to process payment details online via the Protx secure transaction system.

PROTX
All credit and debit card details are processed using the Protx secure transaction system. Details are not stored on the Internet or on any of our own computers.

This web site is fully integrated with Protx, one of the leading secure payment systems - as approved by many of the well known High Street Banks. Sensitive information is only requested on pages that are located on the Protx secure servers and this information cannot be accessed or viewed by anyone else. All transactions are encrypted using 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) architecture (dependent on browser support), and are signed using Thawte digital certificates. Simply put, this site integrates with one of the most secure systems available.

Using the Protx system, your credit card information remains safely in the hands of you and Protx. No-one else has access to this.

For backordered items, the customer is not charged and when the item has arrived, the customer will be contacted again for their payment details.

If payment details are taken over the phone, they are entered on the Protx secure transaction system. Hudsons Leathershop do not hold any of your Credit or Debit Card details. All card data is processed securely by Protx. Details are not stored on any of our own computers.

Guarantee
We guarantee your satisfaction. All of our products come with a 30 day no quibble guarantee which does not affect your Statutory Rights.

We must be informed within 48 hours if goods were received damaged. All parcels should be signed for 'unexamined',

If you change your mind within 30 days of receipt, we will gladly refund payment, provided:
*You have informed us prior to returning the goods
*The goods are received un-used and carriage paid
*If goods were received by you damaged, we will refund carriage.

IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT
In the event that you are unhappy with any aspect of dealing with William Hudson & Sons (Wolverhampton) Limited please inform us as soon as possible by e-mail at customerservices@hudsonsleathershop.co.uk, telephone, or letter in order that we can put things right without delay.

All complaints will be acknowledged within 5 working days of receipt, and a decision made within a further 5 working days where the complaint is within our power. If, for some reason we cannot deal with your complaint within these time limits, we will give you a reason for the delay, and a date by which your complaint will be dealt with.

William Hudson and Sons (Wolverhampton) Limited (trading as Hudsons Leathershop) are registered with the UK Data Protection Register, Registration number Z7905028. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order, and second, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent.

We will not send marketing e-mails to you and you will not receive e-mails from us other than in connection with your order.

The type of information we will collect about you includes: your name; address, phone number, e-mail address, credit/debit card details. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by e-mailing us. If you find any inaccuracies, we will delete or correct it promptly.

Any personal information collected on this site is only used for the purpose of fulfilling your order or providing the best possible service. We do not use your details for marketing purposes without your permission and we do not pass on your details to other companies. "Cookies" form part of the purchasing system but are not used for any other purpose.

We do not use "spam" (bulk emailing to private email addresses for marketing purposes).

The personal information which we hold will be held securely, in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.
Returns Policy
If you change your mind within 30 days of receipt, we will gladly refund payment, provided:
*You have informed us prior to returning the goods
*The goods are received un-used, complete with ALL tags (as dispatched)
*Order Reference number is quoted where appropriate
*Return Carriage at your own cost
*If goods were received by you damaged, we will refund carriage.

You may cancel your order for any reason within 7 days of your order being placed. We will refund your money within 30 days of cancellation, providing we are in receipt of the returned goods, in a re-saleable condition. This does not affect your Statutory Rights as a consumer (as laid down in The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000) .

CHRISTMAS GIFT RETURNS
If you wish to return the item within 30 days from 25th December, we will gladly refund payment, provided:
*You have informed us prior to returning the goods
*The goods are received un-used, complete with ALL tags (as originally dispatched)
*Order Reference number is quoted where appropriate
*Return Carriage at your own cost
